Kick-It was founded in Chagrin Falls, Ohio by 10-year old Quinn Clarke during his second battle with cancer. He asked his parents if he could have a kickball game to raise money for research and was shocked when more than 500 people came to support him. That afternoon has inspired people from across the country and as far away as Hawaii and Australia to help save the lives of children with cancer.
Researchers should spend time making discoveries in the lab instead of filling out grant requests. We partner with the best medical advisory boards in the country to identify promising research projects and clinical trials. We focus on raising money so the researchers can focus on finding cures.
Kick it has one simple goal- to accelerate a cure for children with cancer. No parent should have to watch a child wait for a cure. By organizing a game, joining a team or making a donation, you are helping thousands of children fighting cancer in your hometown and across the country.
In order to help this cause, Lake Ridge Academy is setting up various activities in order to raise awareness (and money) for the lack of funds for Children's Cancer Research. Lower school will participate in kickball skills activities in PE class. Middle school will have a pay to play kickball game during 8th period and the Upper school will have a tournament.
